Sail Away – Sun Set

Well this is my last card that I will show you this week made with this stamp.  Hope you are having a great Saturday.  I love Saturday because it means having time to stamp and play.  I get to spend time with the kids and organize my home.

Stamps:  Sail Away, Travel Log

Ink:  Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue, Not Quite Navy

Paper:  Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White

Accessories:  Stampin’ Dimensionals

Well, not only did I make good use of this stamp but my mother also made a handful of cards.  I think I will get lots of good use from this little stamp.  Now it is well loved, can you tell by this picture?

Get yours while you can.  It is only available until the end of August 2011.  The Nautical Expedition DSP is also a wonderful match and will make your card making even more fun with this stamp.   The Nautical Expedition DSP is also available as a digital download and can be obtained through my on-line store.  Get yours and get stamping.

Thanks for visiting me this week and sharing  your time with me.  Leave me a comment and tell me what you think of these boats.

Sail Away – Nautical Expedition DSP

Can you tell, I had alot of fun making these cards?  One today and one more tomorrow and then, I will move onto something else.  This is another card that I CASED from Wendy Weixler.  I loved this one because of the DSP.  It was a little tricky to cut out such small pieces but it went together quite well.  I changed it slightly but for the most part it was her idea.

This sail boat card was the one my son Trevor liked the best.  Since it is my birthday today, I am showing my second birthday sail boat.  My mom and I are planning to eat at the local Sea Food resturant for dinner.  My children will be away at a youth camp and so I am celebrating my birthday with my best friend, my Mother.

Sail Away -Aqua Painter

This one I credit to myself.  My mother and I debated the sails.  Is the sail on the Right wider or more narrow?  She decided that both the right and left triangles were part of the sail and I was still questioning it.  I have seen other demonstrators do it both ways.  I looked up some sail boat pictures because I am not as familiar with sail boats as some, (in fact, I have never been on one).  I concluded that either is correct as it depends on the sailboat.  So some of my card with this stamp have both the right and left sections of the right sail as material and others only the left section has been filled in, with the right being interpreted as ropes.  I love this stamp.  It reminds me of being on the lake.  I have been out on a pontoon boat and a motor boat.  It is such a beautiful place to be — on a boat on a lake.  I have never been out on the sea, but I am certain that it would be just as thrilling and breath taking.

With Father’s day just around the corner, this stamp makes wonderful cards for just such an occasion.

Sail Away

Stampin up as started their summer Mini and it will run through the end of August.  For some really fun things, check it out and purchase through my on-line store.  This weekend my mother came by and we took my new stamp called Sail Away #123013.  This is a single stamp and you can get it for only $9.95.  There are some really fun things you can mix and match as well.  I will show you one a day this week.

My first one to show you today is one I CASED from Mary Fish.  It was so good, I couldn’t help myself.  My mother also CASED it but she switched the colors up and it turned out great also.  Should have taken a picture but she left before I got the camera out.  Here is mine:
