I got a card in the mail about two weeks ago from Rachel Brumley for my birthday. How sweet. I thought I would put it on my blog as it was so pretty and I wanted to share.
This card is made using the “Upsy Daisy” (#111710) stamp set. She also used Concord Crush CS adn the DSP from the in-color 2010-2012 paper pack and some of the coordinating ribbon. I love it. Thank you Rachel.
I don’t know how many of you have one of these Color Caddies but they are wonderful. I didn’t have one for a very long time. I was always digging throught the box I kept them in and finally purchased one. I love it. I was worried that my older smaller ink pads would be a problem. I have very few of them any more and will eventually replace them with the current larger ones, but if you do have them, they will fit in this quite well. If you look at my picture, you can see a few of the smaller one. You can also see many of the retired colors stacked in the background. I have not been able to give them up yet. I love, love my ink pads — even more than the markers. If you have an Aqua painter and an ink pad, you can still color your images.
I write on my pads the ink color even though there is a color strip on the front of the pad. While these seem pricey, you won’t regret your purchase. Get one through my on-line store. Thanks for visiting today. Have a wonderful Sunday.
I have had my computer sent in for some repairs and it took some time to get most everything working again. I have not posted but I have been busy over the past while stamping and creating as always. I have a whole bunch of things to share so keep checking in for new things to see.
I have had a lot of fun this past weekend making cards. The best part about it was stamping with my Mother Karen and my daughter Nicole. Making something beautiful and fun with your hands and doing it with those you love - What could be better. I want to show you the cards my daughter created today. She is 14 and really getting good at this card making thing.
This one is using my Vintage Vogue stamp set, some of the free paper we earned for purchases during Sale-a-brations and some 1/2 pearls from the retired pretties kit. Very simple and cute. Love it.
Next she created a butterfly card using the Beautiful wings embosslit folder. This is such a fun thing to own. I just purchased it a month ago and I am finding all kinds of projects to use it on. I love it.
Last but not least she used a free set she chose for us call “So Happy Together”. She used my Boho Blossom punch and cut some DSP paper out and some out of Pretty in Pink. She also used the flower stamp and cut them out on the Daffodil Delight paper. Then she stamped the cute little partridges and added them. So much fun.
Tomorrow I will start to show you the fun things I have been creating. I purchased the Nature’s Walk Stamp set and the matching Designer Paper. I have just had so much fun with it and came up with some really fun things. Until then — Happy stamping!

I just had to make a card with the stamp I purchased last year from the 2009 holiday mini. I have not had a chance to use it until now. I really like this stamp. I haven’t seen too many stamps that celebrate New Years and so I grabbed it while it was available.
This was created using Night of Navy Card stock stamped on with Whisper White Craft Ink. I heat set the craft ink using my Heat tool to prevent smearing. Then framed it in Whisper White Card stock. Then I used a second layer of Night of Navy Card stock embossed using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on my Big Shot Machine. I then adhered that my card base made in Whisper White Card stock. I used the beautiful Organza Ribbon to tie a knot on the front. I love this ribbon — so shiny and goes beautifully with so many things –”a must have” staple in my ribbon collection.
This is a very simple card but the white ink on a dark color makes for a good contrast.
Hope you have a wonderful new year too and you was able to ring it in with someone you love.
This is the beginning of a new adventure. Looking forward to the challenge and opportunity to share ideas with you. I welcome comments and your ideas as well.
